Road Cycling

Road cycling is a popular activity in nearly every part of the world. From recreational riders to competitive racers, cycling is common to most cultures. In fact, in many places, cycling is the primary mode of transportation.

Each year there are hundreds of road cycling events, held in many different countries. Arguably the largest, the Tour de France, attracts hundreds of thousands of local spectators as well as millions that watch on television. In addition, there are many different types of bicycle races, including time trials and oval track racing.

Road cycling is also an outstanding way of keeping in shape. In addition to the exercise that the legs receive, cycling is an excellent cardiovascular workout as well. And because they do not burn any gasoline, they are one of the cleanest modes of transportations currently available.
